The main function of this position is to provide ongoing administrative and clerical support for the operation of the Strategic Development Division. Under minimal supervision, this position performs a variety of general office duties of varying complexity and assists the entire Division to function smoothly.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of administrative support systems
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer applications, including use of Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with College staff
Maintains confidentiality at all times
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to practice effective time management and prioritize work
Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize work according to the needs
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of grammar, spelling, and punctuation in the English language
Competent in designing and using databases and spreadsheets
Education and Experience
One year Certificate in office administration or office education from a recognized post-secondary institution. Such education would typically include proficiencies related to the job functions.
A minimum of two years of related and relevant experience in a similar role.
