The Interdisciplinary Linguistics Program, College of Arts and Science, University of Saskatchewan, invites applications for a 10 months full-time term appointment at the rank of Instructor (current base salary of $50,747 pro-rated) with primary specialization in the area of Linguistics commencing 1September, 2014. The successful candidate should have a PhD in Linguistics or Applied Linguistics. Demonstrated excellence in teaching will be preferred.
The responsibilities of the position include teaching 18 cu (six classes) per academic year. Classes to be taught may include Ling 112.3 Language Dynamics, Ling 402.3 Language and Culture, Ling 348.3 Materials design in second language acquisition, Ling 350.3 Internship (2 sections), Ling 340.3 Phonology, Ling 478.3 Honours project. Depending on the expertise of the candidate, ESL 106.3 Academic writing and /or ESL 105 Academic speaking may also be included into the assignment of duties.
