Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Planner is responsible for managing inventories of both raw materials and finished products.
PRIMARY PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES:
-Ensure effective and efficient flow of material to support profit and customer service goals.
-Maintain targeted inventory levels for assigned finished products and raw materials.
-Generate production orders and ensure availability of in-spec ingredients and materials for manufacturing.
-Proactively report finished product and raw material availability issues.
-Maintain and monitor Item Master Data; revise essential planning data in the company'ss ERP system.
-Set up new items in the company'ss ERP system and manufacturing specifications in Filemaker.
-Proactively provide supply status, including changes to confirmed ship dates, to Customer Service.
-Assist in the efficient management of inventories at all levels.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCES: (essential to the position)
Bachelor Degree in Business or Operations Management or
-APICS - CPIM/CSCP certification or SCMA - SCMP designation
-Minimum of 3-5 years broad experience across several key areas of responsibility including master scheduling, materials planning, demand management, sales and operations planning, forecasting and order management; understanding and experience in capacity management concepts and application, inventory control, demand planning (DRP) and MRP management techniques.
-Expertise in working with an ERP system preferably BAAN.
-Proficiency in MS Excel and FileMaker.
-Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
-Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written communication skills
