Saskatoon Public Schools requires a Facilities Coordinator to join its Contract Services Team in the Facilities department. The Facilities Coordinator assists the Manager of Contract Services with planning, design and administration of Facilities projects. The Facilities Coordinator facilitates the construction of Facilities projects with principals, building operators, Operations and Maintenance department, accounting, consultants, contractors and other parties as required.
Candidates must have a diploma from a recognized Architectural Technology Program from a recognized institution. Membership in Construction Specifications Canada and completion of recognized courses in tender document preparation and specification reading and writing would be an asset. The successful candidate will have three or more years experience in facilities planning and construction with a general working knowledge of major building trades. The successful candidate will have strong drawing and specification comprehension skills with excellent computer aided design and drafting skills. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are key for this position.
