Description

Riverbend Group of Companies (RGOC) is a Saskatchewan owned and operated construction material manufacturer and distributor. RGOC is comprised of Madero Doors & Hardware, Penner Doors & Hardware, and Security Building Supplies. The head office in Saskatoon has an opportunity for the right individual to join the team.

Position and Responsibilities
    Responsible for negotiating and purchasing materials, equipment, supplies, from current and new vendors
    Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine the most desirable suppliers
    Establish inventory needs for a multitude of products
    Monitor and track the inventory of all products noting inventory levels and cycle counts
    Support the shipping departments with receiving and shipping systems
    Prepare forecasts for inventory levels based on projected revenue
    Help to establish costing and pricing structures
    Maintain accurate codes and costs in the VAI S2K Enterprise Software


Experience and Qualifications

The below skills are not required, but are all considered to be a strong asset for this position:

    A bachelors degree and 2-5 years of experience in purchasing
    While not required, a purchasing certification is favorable
    Knowledge and comfort in the construction materials industry
    The ability to communicate, negotiate, and collaborate with others is a must
    Can work independently while determining and prioritizing tasks
    A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
