Description

Clifton Associates Ltd. is currently seeking a Geomatics Engineer or a Senior Geomatics Technologist with experience in construction surveying and project management.

Reporting to the Geomatics Lead, Senior Surveyor are expected to perform the following duties both within the laboratory and in the field as needed:
o    Manage and perform field surveys supported by a survey assistant.
o    Liaise with Project Manager regarding timing requirements, priority, and survey methodology used
o    Liaise with the clients field representative.
o    Prepare and communicate field notes, sketches, checklists and digital data in the formats required by the drafting department or project manager.
o    Review field and office procedures regarding survey matters.
o    Provide topographic layouts, cross-sectional surveys, and calculate quantities including earthworks (excavation, backfill, stockpiles), water volumes and surface areas, construction layouts, drainage surveys, and road surveys.
o    High quality service to all clients and stakeholders of the project

Key Selection Criteria
A graduate of post-secondary course related to surveying and geomatics from a recognized college or university or relevant experience and 5 + years experience in surveying in a variety of related disciplines
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent communication skills
Strong team player
Must work well in fast-paced environment and under pressure
Willing to work overtime and in remote locations upon request
Have experience with the use of ATVs, snowmobiles, and chainsaws
Ability to use and adapt to the latest survey equipment and software
Must have valid Drivers License

Drug and alcohol testing is required.
