The Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science and Justice Studies is pleased to invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for a 12 month term. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. from a recognized Canadian or International University in a field of study relevant to the domains of forensic behavioural science and justice and will be expected to lead a program of research encompassing one or more of the above-noted areas. The Centre collaborates with a number of criminal justice organizations including the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC). Preference will be given to candidates whose area(s) of interest is aligned with one or more of CSCs corporate priorities:
-safe transition to and management of offenders in the community
-safety and security of staff and offenders in institutions and in the community
-enhanced capacity to provide effective interventions for First Nations, Mtis, and Inuit offenders
-improved capacity to address mental health needs of offenders
The salary offered is $40,000 per year with additional allowance for research-related travel and dissemination.
