The Position
Reporting to the Vice President Corporate Services, and working closely with various levels of management and staff, you will be responsible for the facilities & services departments of our west side, Porteous Lodge (including food & nutrition, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance) and the maintenance of the adjoining Mount Royal Courts. In this position you will be responsible for processes that ensure safe and reliable HVAC and other critical equipment, longer-term preventative maintenance and replacement planning, and forward looking capital projects management for our west side facilities including needs identification, committee approval to proceed, contractor/supplier selection, work in progress and cost monitoring.
The Applicant
In addition to a strong work ethic, supervisory and interpersonal skills, you will have a diploma or post-secondary education in an applicable field with 4 to 5 years of managerial experience - with budget, project management and scheduling responsibilities, in a unionized setting. A mechanical understanding/background and experience with hotel management, EPP, OH&S and TLR would be an asset.
