We are currently seeking Geomatics/Survey Technicians primarily for rotational camp work to be based in Saskatchewan. The successful candidates will be capable of reviewing a wide variety of surveys including boundary, topographic, design, and construction across a similarly wide variety of project types and conditions. You will be responsible for proactively communicating with field surveyors and project coordinators regarding potential quality control issues and providing mentorship with respect to field/office procedures. You will also review all incoming field survey data and calculations for accuracy, reliability and completeness. In addition, you will support field survey staff by processing static GPS data and performing pre-analysis on control networks, least squares adjustments and closure checks. An important part of this role is aiding the Survey Project Manager to respond to alleged survey errors promptly with proof for the client.
Requirements:
Diploma in Geomatics Engineering or Surveying Technology
Registered as a professional Geomatics Engineering or Survey Technologist is an asset
5 years of broad based and progressive experience in a survey office environment with particular emphasis on construction surveying for large scale natural resource based projects
High level of competence using Carlson Survey, Civil 3D, LGO and a variety of Leica equipment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Technical competence and attention to detail
