The VMC is a vibrant teaching hospital offering progressive multidisciplinary primary and referral veterinary medicine to its clients and their pets. This position will provide around-the-clock veterinary anesthesia and critical care support to all patients requiring these services. This veterinarian will play an integral role in the clinical education and supervision of veterinary and technical students, veterinary technicians, and interns and residents in the VMC. The Anesthesia service aims to provide the highest quality care possible as expected at a referral/teaching institution. Emphasis is on excellent patient care alongside timely management and direction of patients through the operating theatres and diagnostic areas in a teaching environment.
The salary range is $75,234 to $125,312 per annum (Specialist/Professional, Phase 3) for an individual with ACVA or ECVAA board certification. If a suitable candidate with Board certification cannot be found, the position may be filled at the Specialist/Professional, Phase 2 (The salary range is $59,517 to $92,996 per annum). The starting salary will be commensurate with level at a lower salary.
