Working under the direction of the Coordinator of Student Services, the Recruitment Officer will develop and implement a recruitment strategy for NORTEP/NORPAC. This position involves extensive travel to northern communities and making presentations to groups interested in post-secondary education. The related activities include developing northern based recruitment and promotional materials, coordinating in-house recruitment events, providing career advice to youth based on job trends, assisting with the university application process, serving as a liaison between NORTEP/NORPAC, northern schools and other post-secondary organizations. Other duties include marketing and using technology to promote the organization, writing proposals to enhance recruitment and retention activities, serving on various committees and working closely with Student Services, other faculty and students. This position involves making regular reports to the Coordinator of Student Services and other duties as assigned by senior administration.
Qualifications: The successful applicant will possess:
. A Bachelors degree in any area; preferably a former TEP or PAC graduate;
. Knowledge of northern Saskatchewan communities and schools is critical for this position;
. Strong organizational skills, communication skills and writing skills;
. Computer literacy is an asset;
. Willing to work flexible hours;
. Ability to speak a northern Aboriginal language is an asset;
. Applicants must hold a valid Class 5 Drivers License;
. Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Clearance
