Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager in our Saskatoon, SK office.  Key Responsibilities:
Providing commercial and contractual advice to business project teams, operational staff and management.
Coordinating and preparing the supporting documentation required for AMECs tender approval and commercial review board (CRB) processes, including direction and guidance to Commercial Coordinators in various Mining & Metals offices in the Americas.
Ensuring effective handover of commercial matters from pre/post contract phase of projects.
Ensuring that contracts entered into by the business are in line with AMECs policies and procedures and obtaining approval to depart from these principles, where necessary.
Ensuring that subcontractors are engaged via appropriate contractual arrangements in a manner that will optimize AMECs commercial position.
Ensuring compliance with AMECs policies and procedures with regards to:
Ensuring that KPI or risk/reward schemes are properly administered in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
Training, mentoring and supporting the development of other commercial staff. Providing support to project teams, throughout the lifecycle of projects. Provision of commercial procedures and systems training to operational and project staff in our various offices in North America
Ability to travel domestically and internationally to meet job requirements
Role Requirements
A university degree or above in Quantity Surveying, Law, Business Studies or other appropriate discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of related experience
Excellent knowledge and understanding of commercial, economic and business issues relating to the mining, construction or related industry.
