With over 120 employees, PTI has become the single largest
Canadian owned manufacturer of power transformers. PTI is
proud to be a 2012 Gold Standard Requalified member of
Canada's Best Managed Companies program.
From humble beginnings in 1989 when PTI began operating in a
two-car garage, we now operate out of a 100,000 square foot
facility in Regina and an 8,500 square foot warehouse in Ontario.
At PTI, we produce two basic lines of oil-filled transformers. The
first is our small distribution transformers, which can be found in
residential areas. The second is our large distribution
transformers, which are used in places such as malls, mines and
hospitals and are each customized to meet our customers
needs.
Our success is a result of the dedication of our hard working
staff. At PTI, we encourage employees to excel at what they do
and we are constantly seeking motivated and talented individuals
to join our team. Our production facility is clean and well-
organized with a focus on teamwork, quality and innovation. We
pride ourselves on being a safe environment and are members of
the Health and Safety Leadership Charter.
Our production facility operates only one shift from 7:30 am
5:00 pm and shop employees enjoy having every second Friday
as an earned day off. PTI has a competitive total compensation
package including company-paid benefits and a pension plan.
In order to be considered for this position, you MUST already be
living in Canada and be eligible to work. A criminal record check
will be conducted before hire.
The minimum requirement is to have a grade twelve diploma and
the SIAST pre-employment welding certificate. A transferable
CWB welding ticket would be an asset.
We currently do not have a journeyman welder on staff, so
therefore, we cannot accommodate apprentices working towards
their journeyman status.
