The University of Saskatchewan College of Law invites outstanding candidates who have made distinguished contributions to research or practice in human rights to apply for the Ariel F. Sallows Chair of Human Rights.
The successful candidate for the Chair will possess academic credentials suitable for academic appointment including an established record of scholarly achievement. He or she will reside in Saskatoon during his or her tenure in the Chair and will be expected to enliven the intellectual life of the faculty by pursuing a research program, teaching one or two courses or seminars, giving a public lecture and possibly overseeing the planning of a conference. Appropriate administrative and financial support will be provided to the chair holder, especially concerning research and outreach activities. Tenure will normally be for one year, but in any event no longer than two years. Salary will be commensurate with the holders experience and standing. The appointment date is flexible, but may be as early as July 1, 2015. Please note that the deadline for submission of complete applications is December 31, 2014.
