Applications are invited for a Part-Time Permanent (3 hrs/day) Library Clerk to work as part of a team providing support to the school library at L.P. Miller Comprehensive School. This position will commence at the beginning of the 2014 2015 school year.
The primary responsibility of the position will be to continue the automated cataloguing and classification of the schools Resource Centre material onto the school divisions library electronic database. Specific initial training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Qualifications:
Minimum requirement is high school graduation
Formal training and/or previous experience in library environments would be considered an asset for the above-referenced position.
Proficiency in the use of computers such as word processing and databases is required.
Ability to work as a collaborative team player as well as independently with minimum supervision
Superior organizational skills
