Role/Responsibilities:
Collaborates with Sask.Oper.Mgr.on projects and manpower.
Responsible for controlling costs/maintaining profitability.
Examines drawings/specifications for various work tasks and ensure current information is passed down to foremen.
Schedules crews for the project/all required equipment/materials necessary to complete the task.
Conducts regular inspections to ensure quality and that job is per specifications.
Assists foremen in maintaining safe workplace through support and training.
Tracks project schedule/cost reports.
Coordinates with engineers, client/owner, inspectors, etc.
Ensures training and development of foremen/ employees.
Promotes positive employee relations with all employees/management by treating all employees with dignity/respect.
Administers discipline as needed in a fair/consistent manner
Resolve/diffuses issues using open communication with employees/management
Qualifications:
Project Management Cert. (PMP) is preferred
Min.of five years experience in an expanding and demonstrable PM role, in the electrical construction industry
Experience in determining construction labor productivity factors, wage rates, indirect field costs and project adjustment factors.
Strong computer skills and excellent problem solving and decision making skills
Proven organizational and management skills, including the ability to prioritize
Estimating experience an asset (Accubid ) is preferred
Min.of 3-5 years experience in commercial operations
Demonstrated supervisory skills
Demonstrated customer relations skills
Experience in E&I installations
Excellent knowledge of all applicable codes.
Verbal skills good verbal communication skills for speaking with personnel and clients.
Ability to communicate effectively to all relevant stakeholders
Ability to provide accurate analysis and assessment and strategies
Valid Drivers License
