Cudworth Pork Investors Group (CPIG) is seeking Hog Barn Workers (in Breeding and/or Farrowing Nursery)for employment in a 1200 sow farrow-to-finish hog operation producing high quality breeding stock for a leading swine breeding company.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- All aspects of feeding hogs,
- Detection and treatment of health problems,
- Selection and movement of hogs of various sizes,
- Monitoring and setting waterlines, air flow, and temperature in rooms and pens,
- Ensuring a clean and safe environment for the animals
We would like to hear from you if you:
- Are eligible to work in Canada. We do not have a LMO.
- Are entering, or returning to, post-secondary school
- Are a motivated individual;
- Enjoy working in a team environment;
- Are hard working and are physically competent;
- Have good communication skills.
- Basic farm knowledge is an asset
- Experience is an asset, but not necessary for those willing to learn.
Full-time employees at CPIG work 80 hours in a 2-week period, in accordance with Labour Standards for Commercial Hog Barns. The 2-week schedule is 6 days on, 1 day off, 4 days on, 3 days off. The 3 days off always occur on a weekend. Work hours are 7am - 3:30pm.
