B.T.C. Human Services Corporation, a First Nation agency which provides child and family services to on-reserve residents of the Lucky Man, Little Pine and Poundmaker First Nations, requires a Family Support Worker.
The Family Support Worker gathers information on and assesses family functioning problems. Develops and implements intervention plans within program guidelines. Provides referrals, support, guidance and problem solving to clients to address issues related to family functioning. Provides parenting skills building, emotional support and feedback to clients and other duties as required by the immediate supervisor or designate.
Qualifications include Bachelor's degree in a related human/social service field, one year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, written and verbal communication skills, computer skills, must live a healthy lifestyle and have a valid driver's license. A Criminal Record Check and ACI (Automated Clientele Index - MSS) check is required. Salary negotiable based on education and work experience.
