B.T.C. Human Services Corporation, a First Nation agency which provides child and family services to on-reserve residents of the Lucky Man, Little Pine and Poundmaker First Nations, requires an Intake/Investigation Worker
The Intake/Investigation Worker receives incoming calls and/or walk ins, prior contact checks, entering incident into the computer system, summarizing prior intake history, completing SDM Screening Assessment Tool, dealing with afterhours notes responding to reports of immediate risk, notifying the RCMP and coordinating investigations with the RCMP, consult with supervisors and document consultation on the computer system and day care referrals. Expectation that a social worker is in the office and available, constant interruptions to work as "duty worker" when others are away and covering off breaks for others in the office.
Qualifications include Bachelor's degree in in Social Work, knowledge of Child Protection, Child Abuse Investigation experience and training, knowledge of case management and crisis intervention procedures, written and verbal communication skills, must live a healthy lifestyle and have a valid driver's license. A Criminal Record Check and ACI (Automated Clientele Index - MSS) check is required. Salary negotiable based on education and work experience.
