QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years experience working in Maintenance field.
Possess a valid Driver's Licence.
Solid understanding of the maintenance and operational routines of boilers and hot water tanks.
Perform monthly preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment; changing filters, belts, and calibration /adjustment of temperature.
Possess Fireman's Certificate for boilers; or is willing to obtain it with training.
Basic plumbing, carpentry and painting skills.
Strong ability to work efficiently in an unsupervised environment.

JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preventative and ongoing maintenance of the HVAC systems in six apartment buildings. He/she will complete work orders and maintenance requests as assigned by the Property Manager for the Esterhazy apartment portfolio and strives to give the residential tenants professional, timely and competent service for all maintenance related requests.

JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Maintain the daily operations of mecahical & electrical equipment in apartment buildings
2. Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment including changing filters, belts, grease, calibration and adjustment of temperature control systems in the mechanical rooms
3. Regularly inspect and assess all areas of the facilities to ensure equipment and facilities are being effectively maintained
4. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety regulations at all times
5. Adhere to WHMIS and all other Health and Safety practices as governed by Provincial and Federal Legislation
