RECREATION CASHIER
Competition #2014-038

The City of Prince Albert is currently accepting applications for a number of non-permanent positions of Recreation Cashier in the Community Services Department.  These part-time positions will be located at the Alfred Jenkins Field House with hours available on a year-round basis.  Applicants must be available to work evenings and weekends.

General Duties:
    Handle cash including but not limited to receipting, depositing, balancing, counting and miscellaneous sales.
    Attend to all inquiries through personal and telephone communication as well as use of the public address system.
    Ensure that admission policies related to recreation facilities are adhered to.
    Register the public for instructional programs.
    Responsible for recording and checking specific articles as requested by the patron for safekeeping.
    Maintain ticket window and office area in a neat and tidy manner.

Desired Qualifications:
    Completion of Grade 12 or Grade 10 if a continuing full-time student.
    Certified in First Aid and CPR C.
    Must be willing to work shifts including evenings and weekends as required.
    Ability to handle cash and balance funds received.
    Ability to communicate effectively with the public and co-workers.
    Ability to complete required cashier reports.
    Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
    Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    Good organizational skills.
