We are an independent, award-winning weekly community
newspaper in southwest Saskatchewan, publishing 4500
newspapers weekly.
Our office is located in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan
which is on the TransCanada Highway, approximately 50 kms
west of Swift Current. Working with an award-winning staff of
community newspaper professionals, our successful candidate
will be responsible for creating display ads, assisting in the
layout and pagination of each issue as well as keeping our
website fresh and updated weekly. There will be some general
office duties as well, such as answering phones and assisting
customers.
Candidates must possess:
- Previous experience in a Mac environment using Quark XPresss
/ Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
- Be detail oriented with exceptional organizational and multi-
tasking abilities.
- Able to work accurately within a deadline.
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
- Desire to have some fun in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Social media skills and website knowledge is an asset.
- Photography skills are an asset.
This is a full-time, permanent position. Wage/Salary is
negotiable.
