Seaboard Specialty Grains and Foods is an agricultural trading company that specializes in trading special crops and food commodities in a global marketplace.
The position is responsible for the timely and accurate execution and documentation of commodity trades.
Job responsibilities
-Planning and executing the logistics for sales from Canada to various domestic and export destinations
-Negotiate various transportation costs and plan the appropriate transportation modes to be utilized
-Provide shipping and/or documentary instructions to Supplier and to ensure inventory is in a shippable position
-Provide shipping advice (appropriation) to customer
-Ensure documents issued are in accordance with payment mechanism and contract.
-Review Accounts Receivables and follow up on payment status with customers
-Build and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers
-Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-3-5 years experience working in the logistics/transportation area. Preferably with experience working in international logistics.
-Experience in working with letters of credit and other forms of payment mechanisms is an asset
-Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
-Demonstrated skill in the use of Windows word-processing and spreadsheet software
-A University Degree in Business or related Discipline is desired, but not a requirement. A combination of experience and education will be considered
