Description

As Foreman, you will work with and lead a base
crew on local road construction projects in or
near Regina.  

Enjoy this full-time year round position with a
reputable employer working on construction
projects during the summer, and then
planning/working in the shop during the winter.  
Projects that allow you to go home to your family
every night!  


As Working Base Foreman, you will:
- Plan and assess project needs regarding
employees, equipment and material.

- Lead, plan and ensure job specifications are
met. Plan truck routes, measure volumes for
material, and follow excavation/construction
plans.

- Manage and coordinate the daily activities of
co-workers/base crew, including training,
supervision, safety, reporting/timecards and
teamwork.  

- Lead and set an example on company policies and
safety procedures to maintain a high level of
safety.

- Liaison and communicate clearly with crew
members, project managers, general contractors and
office staff throughout project construction.    

- Maintain a detailed diary of daily operations
and activities. Call for sampling/density testing.

Education & Experience:
- Related on the job training, plus an
understanding of survey, plans and grades.  
- Experience and knowledge in road building is
required, i.e. grade work, equipment operation,
density testing.  
- Experience with multiple pieces of equipment is
essential.


Excellent salary and working conditions.  Winter
employment will include working in the shop and
preparing for the next season.
