Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate
will provide key support to the Cobourg Plant Maintenance group
by improving maintenance effectiveness.
POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively diagnose equipment problems, including automation and
controls related faults, and complete repairs and/or adjustments in
a safe and timely manner to minimize disruptions to continuous
facility operation.
Perform preventive, predictive maintenance and other technical
activities on manufacturing and facility equipment.
Support plant efforts in maximizing asset utilization by accurately
documenting maintenance activities including time and materials
utilizing SAP asset management system, and identifying
opportunities for operating improvements.
Must be able to work shift work (3-shift rotation), and willing to
respond to occasional emergency calls or overtime work
requirements.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a minimum of valid Ontario or Interprovincial
Industrial Mechanic Millwright 433A certification, and either valid
Ontario or Interprovincial Industrial Electrician 442A licence or valid
Gas Technician G.1 certification with valid Refrigeration and Air
Conditioning Systems Mechanic 313A certification.
Must have a good working knowledge of diagnosing and
troubleshooting industrial automation, PLCs, frequency drives, and
robotic equipment.
Must have five to ten years relevant experience in a manufacturing
environment.
Experience servicing and troubleshooting industrial appliances such
as janitorial and laundry equipment is an asset.
Experience servicing and troubleshooting powered overhead doors
is an asset.
Valid Sprinkler and Fire Protection Installer 427A certification is an
asset.
