Description

Viterra is currently recruiting for a Senior Windows / ESX System Administrator to participate on a team managing a Windows and VMware environment. The successful candidate will possess a keen interest for problem solving, creative thinking, being an active member of a self-motivated and enthusiastic team providing critical skills to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of mission critical IT infrastructure and data assets.

Required Skills:

Preference will be given to candidates with Citrix experience.
Detailed working experience with recent versions of ESX and Microsoft Server operating systems working as a Windows / ESX system administrator  building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and performing routine server maintenance. Detailed working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, group policies, and security permissions in a heterogeneous networking environment.
Knowledge of industry standard server hardware such as Dell, IBM and /or HP.
Knowledge of the Microsoft System Center suite including Operations Manager and Symantec System Console or other industry leading Anti-Virus / system monitoring software would be an asset.
Experience establishing configuration standards and building systems using automation utilities.
Solid foundation in initial requirements gathering, testing, documentation and installation through all troubleshooting aspects.
Ability to communicate effectively and present to both technical and non-technical staff and management at all levels.

Educational Requirements:

Degree or certificate in Computer Science, Applied Computer Engineering or Computer Information Systems or combination of significant experience and relevant certifications.
MCSE, VCP (or in pursuit of).
