This position is accountable for managing a team of HR Business Partners who provide strategic consultation on HR matters to business leads. This includes managing the implementation and adherence to HR programs, policies and practices to meet business needs. Accountable for translating client business needs into human resources strategies and initiatives bringing forward advice and counsel to enhance competitive effectiveness. This role works in close collaboration with the HR leadership team and HR centres of expertise.
Qualifications:
Post secondary degree in business administration, commerce, vocation-technical education or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience that results in the required level of knowledge, skill and competence. Minimum of ten (10) years HR generalist experience in progressively responsible roles with three (3) years leadership / supervisor experience. Experience required in program design, delivery and evaluation, facilitation, project and client management and career/performance coaching. A solid understanding of the relationship between strategic and business planning and organizational and individual performance is necessary. Experience leading in a unionized environment.
