The Junior Document Control Person is responsible for maintaining accurate and organized records by entering data using a personal computer; and performs related clerical duties as assigned.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Accurately transmit, receive, review and file all DMC outgoing and incoming correspondence - hard copy and electronic copy.
2. Understand and use Aconex, an electronic document system. Training will be provided.
3. Maintain document log - contains type of document, originator, Rev #, Date of Issue, etc. - be able to distinguish between drafts, revisions, addenda, between text or CAD.
4. Facilitate return of documents once issued for approval. Initiate and track document routing guides on site.
5. Perform audits to ensure adherence to the document control policy.
6. Enters data from paper records to create updated and maintained electronic files.
7. Compile, sort and verify accuracy of data entered, make corrections as required.
8. Contact originators of course documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies or missing data.
9. Perform related clerical duties, as required.
10. Such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Completion of high school program or general education degree or one year related experience.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions.
- Computer knowledge and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
