The La Ronge Public Library is looking for a friendly individual for the position of evening/weekend circulation clerk.
Part-time position, a 4 hour evening shift per week plus one weekend a month.
Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
During the summer there will be more hours as people take vacation.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Circulating library materials.
Shelving library materials.
Patron registrations.
Assisting patrons.
Responding to telephone inquiries.
Assisting the Library Technician with programming preparation.
Handling money.
The successful candidate should have:
Good oral and written communication skills.
Strong numeracy skills.
Demonstrated ability to exercise reasonable judgement and discretion.
Be able to establish work priorities with assigned responsibilities.
Be able to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
Knowledge of Dewey Decimal System is advantageous. Experience with computers and Microsoft Office a bonus.
