The Organization:
Founded in 1955 as the Lutheran Sunset Home of
Saskatoon, LutherCare Communities provides
excellence in care, housing, and community
services within a nurturing Christian environment.  

The Position:
Home Help workers are responsible for assisting
seniors in maintaining a healthy and independent
lifestyle while they live in their own home.  
Depending on the client, duties may include (but
are not limited to) housekeeping, shopping,
nutrition, as well as full personal care.  

APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS.

The Applicants:
Applicants would typically qualify for this
position through the completion of grade 12 and
previous experience working with elderly persons
(or an equivalent combination of experience and
training).  A valid drivers license and a reliable
vehicle to use are essential. Successful
applicants will be required to complete a two-day
Personal Care Home Worker course, Basic First Aid
(no CPR), and Food Safe Course within the first
three months of employment.  Applicants must
possess good interpersonal skills and be able to
interpret, read, write and speak English fluently.
