Schluter & Maack is a 194 year old, Hamburg Germany based company that has recently opened a Special Crops Processing Plant near Balgonie, Saskatchewan. Our company employs over 70 people, exports worldwide, and is looking to expand operations here in Canada.
We are recruiting for a Senior Cleaner/Plant Operator at our Balgonie Plant location. Reporting to the Manager of Business & Operations, this individual will be responsible for the effective day to day management of the grain; receiving/binning/cleaning and shipping operations.
Our facility will clean and ship mostly Mustard Seed, however it will be complimented with the cleaning and shipping of Lentils and Peas as well. The plant is a bulk shipping facility and ships only 20' marine containers and intermodals. There is no railcar loading required.
The successful candidate will possess the following essential skills:
- Knowledge of grain/plant processing, practices and policies is a significant asset.
- Previous experience supervising junior staff.
- Excellent planning and communication skills are required.
- Attention to detail, and ability to implement safe working practices.
- Mechanical and Maintenance ability is a must.
- A valid driver's license.
