Description

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Recruitment, this position will provide administrative and organizational support for fundraising activities and will assist in other development activities including research, database management, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

    -To assist management staff to cultivate, maintain, and expand relationships with individuals, organizations, and businesses.
    -Assist in stewardship plans for all donors, researching new donor potential and any past donor involvement  
    -Solicit and set up meetings with potential donors.
    -Input and manage data into donor database
    -Compile reports from database on donors, sponsors, corporate partners
    -Assist with tracking donor and corporate recognition initiatives
    -Assist in event planning and implementation
    -Support the development and strengthening of funded charity relationships as directed
    -Assist in all other donor development activities; write thank you letters for donations, send invoices, event participation, weekly reports, etc.

Qualifications

    -Knowledge of fundraising campaigns, techniques and strategic communications practices, especially for charitable organizations.
    -A high degree of personal initiative along with strong planning and organizational skills.
    -Ability to multi-task, be adaptable and flexible, and willing to work flexible hours.
    -Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    -An outgoing, energetic and optimistic manner.
    -Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
    -Personal suitability including the ability to exercise initiative, tact, discretion and judgment; ability to deal effectively with a variety of people and work under pressure; dependability
    -A proven track record in Fund Development and/or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience is beneficial.
    -A valid drivers license.
