Job Duties
Operate Company Equipment in a safe and efficient
manner
Perform preventative maintenance check and pre
trip inspections
Check freight prior to loading and unloading to
ensure proper count and condition
Confirm bill of lading has accurate information
Clean and fuel equipment
Communicate with customers in a professional
manner
Report any damages or accidents as per Company
Policy
Follow procedures when hauling Dangerous Goods
Assist in loading non palletized loads when
required
Complete log books and trip sheets accurately
Verify dispatch
Ensure loads are secured
Perform hooks and unhooks
Adhere to all highway traffic board regulations
and safety and traffic laws
Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures
Terms of Employment
Permanent - Full Time
40+ hours per week. Must meet Canadian Hours of
Service Regulations
Scheduled lanes
Home Daily
Delivering freight locally and intra provincially
Wage
The greater of $21.35 per hour or 0.44 cents per
mile (per the Collective Agreement)

Skills/Requirements
Must possess a valid Class 1A drivers license
One year experience operating tractor and trailer
equipment
Knowledge of highway routes, maps, weights, and
dimensions
Knowledge of equipment usage and basic repairs
Experience in driving in all types of terrain
Must pass a road test, pre-employment drug test,
and dangerous goods course
Must provide a clean criminal record search and
drivers abstract
