Description

Prairie Plant Systems, a leader in plant based technologies, is seeking a self-driven individual to join the Information and Communications Technology team in a full-time, temporary position. As the Company continues to grow at an exponential pace, the Specialist will be responsible for web development, design, and maintenance of both external and internal company websites.

Primary Responsibilities
    Design and organize web content for ease of use and visual impact on various public facing websites (includes bilingual web content).
    Develop technical web solutions including HTML, CSS, and javascript coding.
    Provide on-going website maintenance and monitoring to ensure information security and functionality.
    Assist as part of a team for website content and lead web design brainstorming sessions with key business stakeholders.
    Optimize website performance.
    Provide content layout and design for internal web solutions.
    Act as the key web specialist for company wide web initiatives providing input and estimates on cost and time.
    Support e-commerce solutions with technical and usability focus.
    Research, develop, document, implement, modify, and support new or existing web systems.
    Provide assistance and cross-fill duties for other members of the ICT department.

Qualifications

    Post-secondary training in web design, programming and/or graphic design with 2+ years of experience building professional web solutions.
    Preference will be given to bilingual candidates
    Demonstrable experience in advanced web coding technologies (HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, jquery), graphics design, and content editing/writing.
    Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce solutions considered an asset.

Incumbents will be required to pass a Government of Canada Security check, a criminal record check, a pre-employment drug test, and must hold Canadian Citizenship or Landed Immigrant Status.
