POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will provide technical support on radiation protection issues,
including developing and utilizing specialized tools, software and
techniques to assist the sites in mitigating potential hazards. You
will also play a role in the implementation of the radiation
protection program and associated standards at the sites, including
modifying or improving documentation, ensuring proper equipment
use and consistency across the company.
In addition, you will develop, enhance and manage a database of
worker and workplace radiation information, as well as assist in the
administration of radiation data. You will also assist the divisions
with licensing activities, regulatory inspections and internal audit
support.
This is a temporary position with an expected duration of six
months.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements of the position:
Bachelors degree in health physics or other physical
sciences/engineering
Up to five years of relevant work experience
Equivalent combination of education and work experience
considered
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to independently achieve results through
solid organizational and analytical skills
Assets:
Eligibility for registration with the Health Physics Society,
Canadian Radiation Protection Association or the Association of
Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
