Description

To qualify you must be a current F-T student returning to school in fall.
Have you ever been called a self starter?
Are you good at coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously?
Are you computer, web and social media savvy?

This position calls for a well-organized person who enjoys working independently, multi-tasking, working with technology and people.  At times there is a high volume of work with changing priorities and diverse job expectations with tight timelines.

Responsibilities & Duties

1.    To assist with the completion of records for the organization (i.e.) data entry, reports,
invoices, receipts, payments, payroll.
2.    Provide administrative support services by carrying out duties such as preparing and issuing
invoices, receipts, payments, payroll, correspondence.
3    Develop and administer an effective filing system.
4.    Maintain and order all office supplies.
5.    Develop and maintain databases, implementing initiatives to improve communications.
6.    Assist with fundraising events as required.

Skills and Abilities:
*    High level of organization skills to plan, prioritize and complete a wide variety of responsibilities;
*    Able to work well under tight time schedules, a heavy workload, and a diverse set of duties and responsibilities;
*    Detail and results oriented individual who can work very well independently or as a team member;
*    Ability to deal with people in a manner which shows calmness, patience, sensitivity, tact and professionalism;

Education/Experience Requirements:
Must have advanced computer knowledge.
Completion of secondary school, candidates must have completed a recognized training program.  
Candidates will have three to five years of experience in all aspects of providing support services.  
Experience in community-based organizations would be an asset.
Experience with financial record keeping would be an asset.
