Reliable Heating & Cooling Ltd is looking for a control systems engineer with experience in BMS or SCADA systems for commercial building automation. The company primarily uses Alerton building controls in addition to some Schneider Andover Continuum building controls. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical building systems as well as commercial construction.
Responsibilities:
Job quoting for new construction and renovation projects
Hardware design for projects including controller selection, sensor and actuator selection, valve and damper schedules, I/O point schedules, and power requirements
Supervise and direct a team of automation technicians in addition to providing technical direction to a team of electricians
Creating wiring schematics
Creating shop drawing submittal documents
Testing and commissioning BMS & HVAC systems and electronics
DDC Ladder-Logic style programming
Properly addressing TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications
Work according to project timelines and required processes all within budget
Work on construction sites and follow required safety measures
Qualifications:
Valid class 5 drivers license
Electronic Systems Engineering, Mechanical Systems Engineering or similar degree obtained from an accredited education institution or Controls Technician, Instrumentation Technician, Electronics Technician or similar diploma obtained from an accredited education institution in addition to several years experience with controls systems and project management.
Several years of experience in the controls field is considered an asset
Previous experience with Alerton controls is considered an asset
Previous experience with Microsoft Visio is considered an asset
Previous experience with DDC, PLC or similar Ladder-Logic programming is considered an asset
