Description

Parkway Lodge Retirement Home needs Group Home
Workers (4 vacancies) to work in our personal care
home in Weyburn, SK.

Candidates with a college degree or diploma in
health sciences or related field together with
minimum previous work experience of 1 to 2 years
in care home or hospital setting are invited to
apply for these positions. They must also be
available to work in shifts that include days,
evenings, nights, and weekends and must possess
good interpersonal skills and be able to
interpret, read, write and speak English fluently.

Duties:
- Screen, recruit and train volunteers and support
staff.
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of
treatment programs.
- Liaise with other social services agencies and
health care providers involved with clients.
- Provide personal services support to persons
with special needs.
- Conduct individual and group counselling
sessions.
- Resolve conflict situations.
- Develop, coordinate and implement the delivery
of specific services within the community.
- Conduct follow-up assessments.
- Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for
specific services.
- Implement life skills workshops.
- Obtain information and prepare reports or case
histories.

- Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers.
