Reporting directly to the Medical Transportation Coordinator, the Medical Transportation Driver will provide medical transportation services for Yellow Quill First Nation members to various town/cities within the province of Saskatchewan.
Duties
Adhere to the Personnel Policy Manual as set out by the Yellow Quill First Nation Chief and Council;
Maintain strict confidentiality at all times;
Must understand, support and participate in the community enhancement initiatives in working towards the vision of Yellow Quill First Nation which improves the quality of life;
Produce yearly verification of a valid Class 4 driver's license or equivalent in good standing and operate according to the Highway Traffic Board;
Submit daily log; including trips, passengers transported, incidents, etc.;
Act as in interpreter when required;
Maintain a valid CPR/First Aid certificate;
Assist clients in and out of vehicles and medical facilities as required maintaining a respectful and courteous attitude;
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to speak the Saulteaux, an effective understanding of. Saulteaux culture and spirituality, and experience working with First Nations communities is preferred.
Must have a clear current CPIC (Canadian Criminal Records Check), which identifies a vulnerable sectors check.
Must have a valid Saskatchewan drivers license and/or Class 4 and access to a reliable vehicle.
