Description

The Prince-Albert Co-op is currently accepting applications for a Certified Pharmacy Technician at the Prince Albert Co-operative Health Centre Clinic.  This is a Full-Time position with shifts from Monday to Friday.

Primary Job Functions:
Provide Legendary Service to all of our members and guests.  Accept written or refill Rx  requests and package prescriptions accordingly. Assist in replenishing the appropriate quantities of pharmaceuticals. Receive, price and merchandise Rx products. Key all products into the computerized system and ensure their accuracy. Protect all information by adhering to all pharmacy policies and protocols during customer interactions and file maintenance.  Bill 3rd party claims as necessary. Provide information and assist on all inquiries. Maintain a safe, clean and organized work station and Rx area.

Required Skills:
- Certificate from a recognized Pharmacy Technician program
-Outstanding interpersonal skills
-Strong technical and analytical skills for the operation of the electronic equipment
-Strong mathematical skills: comfortable with numbers
-Attentive to detail and able to remain calm under pressure

Desired Skills/Experience:
Pharmacy Technician experience. Successful completion of the Pharmacy Technician Qualifying Examination (PTQE) verified by the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada is considered an asset. If you have not successfully passed the PTQE you will have to obtain the designation once accreditation is legislated.

Reporting:
Reports to the Pharmacy Manager.
