Ghost Transportation Services is looking for a
Truck Dispatcher/Supervisor. Duties will include
dispatching fleet of local, regional and long haul
trucks, allocating resources to cover customer
loads, arranging loads to maximize revenue on all
trucks, tracking and scheduling of equipment
maintenance, arranging on road repairs, dealing
with after hours on call issues, coordination of
information to assist in proper billing, driver
pay, equipment tracking, work with Asset Manager
and Driver Trainer to recruit and orientate new
drivers, work with Freight Coordination Manager to
coordinate loads for trucks, work with Warehouse
Supervisor to arrange trailer spots for cross
docks, equipment transfers and other activities.
The ideal candidate would have the following
qualities and experience, knowledge of the
trucking industry, prior dealings with drivers and
trucks/trailers, understanding of Hours of Service
Regulations, experience with truck/trailer
maintenance and dealing with on road issues,
excellent Customer Service skills, excellent
computer skills , ability to think outside the
box, ability to solve problems when encountered, a
great attitude and ability to work in a team.
Other attributes that would be an asset for this
position include having a valid Class 1A licence,
a logistics designation such as CCLP or being
enrolled in course for such a designation,
experience in developing customer rating and cost
revenue analysis.
