Duties Include:
- Providing consulting services to Traditional Language instructors and other staff within MLFN schools.
- Recommend and facilitate professional development activities for the nine MLFN.
- Assist administrators and teachers in researching and implementing best practices in language delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a Language Instructor Certificate Program.
- Work with communities to develop holistic approach to language instruction.
- Acquire and share professional resources.
- Assist with MLTC Office of Education initiatives.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor?s Degree in Education; a Master?s Degree or commitment to begin studies in a field appropriate to the position?s requirements.
- Saskatchewan Professional `A? Teachers? Certification or the ability to obtain such standing; and a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience.
- Must be fluent in the Dene language(s) and have experience in working with First Nations? Schools & Communities.
