Position Summary:
The Kisawisowin Community Worker will perform employment requirements under the direction and supervision of the Kinistin Saulteaux Nation Health Program Manager.
The Kisawisowin Community Worker will work closely with the Kisawisowin Committee in further research and development for child abuse and neglect prevention programming.
The Kinistin Chief and Council recognizes that too many of our children in care are placed in foster homes outside the Kinistin Saulteaux Nation. Therefore the need to deliver a prevention program that addresses and meets the unique needs of the people of Kinistin Saulteaux Nation is of vital importance. Emphasis falls on keeping our children safe and retaining them within the family and in the community. The Kisawisowin Community Worker will be responsible for the implementation of the Kisawisowin Program using the Tikinagan Model of Child Care.
