Under the direction of the Town Foreman the Municipal Labourer will operate town equipment such as light to medium duty trucks, tractors, mowers, weed whippers, chainsaws and other various hand/power tools. The Municipal Labourer works on maintaining municipal grounds by mowing grass, brush and tree removal, weed control and cleaning drainage ditches and culverts.
This position also requires assistance in street repair and maintenance, water and sewer line repair and maintenance and supports in maintaining the supply and distribution of the Town water and wastewater systems. This will require a minimum of Small Water and Wastewater Certificate or be willing to obtain certification within a determined timeframe. Must enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather and be able to perform regular physical activity.
Previous equipment experience an asset.
Previous saftey training an asset.
