The position will be primarily responsible for
assisting the Executive Director with the
management and operations of the Prince Albert
Multicultural Council, including:
Acting and assuming responsibilities and authority
of the Executive Director position, in the
Executive Director's absence, as approved by the
Executive Director.
Overseeing ESL programming and working with ESL
instructors and newcomer clients.
Representing the agency at meetings, public
gatherings and events as required
Building positive relationships with all
stakeholder groups
Promoting the agency's mission, values and
objectives
Assisting newcomer clients
Researching opportunities for funding and
developing funding proposals
Developing and maintaining reports, policies,
procedures and processes as required
Identifying and analyzing operational and business
issues in order to provide options or
recommendations and /or implement solutions
Some general cleaning and maintenance in the PAMC
facility, as required.
This position will report to the agency's
Executive Director. Experience working with
newcomers to Canada is important. Strong English
language skills are required, as is the ability to
communicate in a second language.
