Description

We are a fast-growing,construction company with
projects across southeastern Saskatchewan, and
we're seeking a construction manager with
experience both in residential and commercial
construction. This is a ground floor
opportunity to help set the course of this
company's expanding operations.

You will be responsible for:

Preparation and submission of construction project
budget estimates
Planning and preparation of construction schedules
and milestones and monitor progress against
established schedules
Preparation of contracts and negotiation of
revisions, changes and additions to contractual
agreements with architects, consultants, clients,
suppliers and subcontractors
Development and implementation of quality control
programs
Representing company on matters such as business
services and union contracts negotiation
Preparing progress reports and issue progress
schedules to clients
Directing the purchase of building materials and
land acquisitions
Hire and supervise the activities of
subcontractors and subordinate staff
Review and interpret construction drawings and
specifications


Preference will be given to individuals with the
following qualifications:

Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering degree
or equivalent training and experience
10 plus years of experience in the construction
industry
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction
(technology, equipment, materials,negotiation,
engineering, estimating, scheduling and safety)
Proficient in Building Code    
Superior communication and interpersonal
skills required (tact, diplomacy, influence).
Must be able to apply innovative and effective
management techniques to maximize
employee performance and engagement
Have strong knowledge of implementing health and
safety rules
