Description

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide caring and professional customer service at all times.
Knowledge of trees and shrubs and their diseases.
Diagnose problems and recommend additional services.
Understand and follow proper pruning techniques.
Tree planting, understanding planting and placing of trees.

Secondary Responsibilities:
Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, and other training for professional develop services.
Maintains and makes minor repairs equipment/tools through proper care and maintenance.
Performs duties of other comparable level position as required.
Directs the work of subordinate personnel as required.

Required: It is essential that the apprentice arborist shares the stated core values of the company.

1.A minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a capacity similar in nature to this position.
2.Basic knowledge of trees and shrubs.
3.Basic knowledge of tree planting.
4.Basic knowledge of proper pruning practices and when to prune a specific tree.
5.Basic knowledge of climbing gear and equipment and its intended uses.
6.Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
7.Good organizational skills.
8.Ability to contribute to a positive, fun, and energetic working environment, without losing focus on goals and results.
9.Valid driver's license. With goals to obtain airbrake, 3A and G endorsement.
10.Ability to be insured by our commercial insurance carrier provider.
