New Hope Dog Rescue is an innovative registered
charity devoted to the rescue of unwanted,
abandoned and neglected dogs and is seeking a
dedicated Fundraising and Promotions Coordinator
to join our team. The ideal candidate has
experience in planning events and fundraisers, is
able to recruit sponsors, participants and
volunteers, as well as, develop corporate
relationships. The candidate is expected to
oversee NHDRs fundraising programs. He/he should
be a self-motivated individual with excellent
leadership skills, professional polish, consistent
demeanour, positive management style, and
excellent communication and written skills. He/she
must be an outstanding leader who motivates
others, but also is a consummate team player. The
individual must be able to work a flexible
schedule, have strong computer and media skills
and knowledge of budgeting/financial practices.
Ability to travel to fundraising and promotional
events is required. Animal welfare knowledge is
helpful but not required. This position is part-
time but has the potential to become full time,
based on performance.
The position of Fundraising and Promotions
Coordinator manages a variety of marketing and
fundraising areas, and works cooperatively with
the Executive Director, the New Hope Dog Rescue
(NHDR) executive committee and volunteers to
improve the overall efficiency of all aspects of
fundraising activities.
