Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services is now inviting applications for 1 - Permanent Full Time, Community Wellness Educator to work in the community of La Ronge. The ideal candidate will be required to provide services to the Lac La Ronge Indian Band and outlying communities. This position will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive youth/adult education and prevention program focused in the areas of sexual health and Communicable Disease Prevention.

Duties:
>Working in partnership with schools and Health Care Professionals;
>Maintain and distribute culturally appropriate resource materials;
>Deliver health education in the areas of community wellness, healthy relationships, Communicable Diseases and planned pregnancy in individual or group settings;
>Organize conferences, meetings, and youth groups;
>Other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate;

Qualifications:
>Must possess a certificate in a Health Related Field;
>Ability to provide classroom, community group presentations, individual and family education.
>Excellent verbal and communication skills;
>Ability to speak/understand Cree is a definite asset;
>Must have a Valid Driver?s License and the ability to travel;
>Security Clearance: Current Criminal Record Check/Child Abuse Record Check and Driver?s Abstract required upon hire;
