THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL FOCUS ON TECHNICAL SALES PROPOSALS IN IRDS CORE MARKETS AND SERVE OUR CUSTOMERS IN NORTH AMERICA AND INTERNATIONALLY.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
Completion of technical sales proposals, tenders, and quotations
Preparation of project budgets, system drawings, and technical specifications
Negotiation of scope of work and prices with civil and electrical contractors and subcontractors
Assist with the development of sales forecasts, and support short and long term growth objectives
Maintain and foster positive relationships with customers and answer enquiries concerning IRD solutions and offerings
Provide product information and technical advice to clients
Provide support for demonstration, development, and implementation of customer applications and company products
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Possess strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to understand and explain technical details
Work well independently or as part of a team
Good organizational and record keeping skills
Effective time management
Ability to work with minimal supervision in a demanding environment
Possess cooperative problem-solving and logical decision-making abilities
Possess a valid drivers license and passport and ability to travel
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Possess a Civil Engineering and/or Business degree or equivalent education and experience
Minimum 2 years technical proposal preparation experience with the ability to learn and articulate technical details in the ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) industry
